With the Corona virus pandemic forcing people to self-isolate and work from home, running online meetings with work colleagues (or just catching up with family and friends) is now all being done online!
Zoom is proving to be the most popular platform.
If you or your organisation want some quick but easy to understand Zoom training on how to use this app effectively – for personal or professional use – let me know. Contact me HERE.
Please note that all other training sessions – Excel, Word, Xero etc – are are currently being run online via Zoom meetings.
Face-to-face delivery in a physical class room will not take place in the current environment.
One of the organisations I deliver training for, Chisholm TAFE, has been awarded the National Large Training Provider of the Year at the Australian Training Awards, presented by the Australian Government.
Chisholm has already received the Victorian Large Training provider award in September.
It would seem the institute’s reaction to the Government’s funding cuts has played a significant role in winning the award.
“Chisholm has been on a journey of business transformation as you are aware, a journey we needed to embark on to continue to be strong and successful in the changed VET sector and a shifting market environment within Victoria” Chisholm’s CEO Maria Peters said in a congratulatory communication with staff.
Further information about the award is on the Chisholm website HERE
I’m currently delivering Windows 8 and Office 2013 training for Chisholm TAFE staff.
These 2-hour “upgrade” courses enable staff to be familiar with these products as they are rolled out across the institute as hardware is replaced (both in student labs and staff offices) in coming months.
They are running at the Frankston and Dandenong short course computer labs.
Staff should use the internal KIOSK booking system to join sessions on dates and times to suit.
